Daddy's Farewell

This day we have been dreading for months but knew it would come, But in some ways I wanted to get it over with knowing the sooner he left the sooner he will be home! I took  lots of cute pics of him and the girls but we have one camera that works so he had to take it with him. I hope soon he will be able to e-mail me the pics. The governor came and spoke and stopped and took pictures with those who wanted to. Marcos of course took advantage of it and got his picture with him. Fresh Market came and brought snacks and fruit and soda for those who wanted some and stayed until 11 pm as the troops boarded the planes. Then they were given a lunch sack with more food in it. It was all donated by fresh market! I was very touched by people who served in the past but now retired who came to help and support them. Also a Motor cycle group came and held american flags  for hours and then as they boarded the planes they made a walk way out of the flags!  I have to say that I am very grateful that I will be home with my girls and I pray that we can become close and take advantage of this time together but will miss daddy Terribly!

Yasmin's Kindergarten Graduation

x
On Thursday May 28th Yasmin had her kindergarten Graduation! I can't believe that kindergarten came and went! I was so excited to see her celebrate this special time but was a little sad on the other hand knowing this was the first of many special moments that daddy would miss. On Monday Marcos started his pre-deployment training, where he will spend the next 3 weeks living at Camp Williams. I was very surprised that when I explained why daddy couldn't make it she seemed to understand while my hart was breaking for him and for her!
The graduation was so cute! They sang a few songs they had learned over the school year and then they showed a very touching slide show of all the students as they played the song "let them be little"! They grow up so fast I can't believe that she will be in first grade next year!

week 8

On Wednesday we went back to the doctor to do another ultrasound! This time we were able to hear the heart beat and to see the babies little heart beating. The heart rate is now up to 124 bpm. The ultrasound tech seemed very relived that she found a heart beat. In-fact she asked me if I have had any bleeding or and cramping. When I said no she seemed surprised but even more surprised to see the heart beating! She then told us that they thought that we were going to loose the baby a few days after the last ultrasound. She said the baby was noticeably bigger but but still on the small side for being 7 1/2 weeks. But we do have smaller babies so we will just see how it measures at the 20 week ultrasound!  I feel so much better now that we heard the heart beat and we could see it on the ultrasound. It is hard to believe you have a little life in you growing until you see them move and see that little heart beat! We are not out of the woods yet but with every week things get better and better!

This was a picture we got on the 6 1/2 week ultrasound. It looks almost like a tooth!

7 weeks

I wanted to give you an up-date on the baby status. When we first found out we were pregnant I made a doctor's appt due to all the miscarriage I have had. The doctor first said he want to do some blood work and then 2 days later draw some more blood to check my HCG levels. On Tuesday I called the doctors office and his nurse said the levels of HCH had gone up but he wanted to do an ultrasound. On Wednesday we went in for the ultrasound and got a cute picture of the baby (It looks more like a tooth than a baby!) On Thursday the nurse called and said that the baby is measuring very small for being 6 weeks and the heart rate is low. The doctor  recommended that in another week we get another ultrasound and then measure again to see if the baby is growing. I feel it is a good sign that we haven't lost it this fare along and my baby's always measure small on the ultrasound. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it all works out in the end! I will keep you posted!

Mother's Day

This year for mother's Day we had a big surprise for my mom and for Marcos' Mom! A few weeks ago we found out I am prego! I am excited and a little scared all in one! Excited that I will be staying home and not have to go back to work for ..well for at least awhile. But a little nervous about having a new little one on my own. Marcos may be able to come home for the birth but I am trying to keep in mind that it is not a for sure thing! We are due December 31 2010. Not sure if I would choose that day again if I had to but at least it won't be another July Baby! Hope you ladies had wonderful mother's and take a few moments to enjoy the small things!

Easter

I know It has been a good month ago but things have been crazy around here with all of our life changes. I was very excited for easter until I found out that Marcos would have to work that day. With him just getting back from Virginia and then go back to work on Easter I wasn't a happy little wife. So he went in at 3 am and the soonest I hope to have him home was around 1 in the afternoon. Then at 6:30 in the morning I heard our bedroom door open and I sat up wondering who had just walked in to our bedroom. Then I noticed it was Marcos. He said his boss had come in early to cover him so he could go home with his family. I was excited to say the least.
After we had our easter egg hunt we got ready and went to my parents house where my had a easter egg hunt ready for the grandkids. Because It was so cold that day they moved the easter hunt to there basement. We had a great Easter and we pray you all had a wonderful easter weekend!

Daddy Comes Home

On March 5 th Marcos left and was sent to Virginia to change his MOS or in other terms his job with the military. His Unit sent him to Virgina to train to do supply during his deployment to Iraq. During his month long training I did a lot of thinking of how things are going to be for me while he will be deployed. Last time he was gone to basic training it was very hard for me. Having never been apart more than a few days, and with my job, keeping up the yard, the house, the laundry and etc. With Yasmin now in school and Kenadie a little older I thought this will be easier than last time. With my new position at work and the stress of Yasmin doing homework I stopped to think and pray about how we could make it work when Marcos leaves again for Iraq. The only answer I could come up with was to quit my job and be home with the girls. But knowing that Marcos' job is not enough to pay the bills I didn't not feel that to be the answer. The week before Marcos came home from Virginia I was was thinking and praying still on how this could work out. Then it came to me... we could rent out the house and I could get an apartment and we could afford to live there on his income and I could stay home with the girls. That night when Marcos called me I explained to him my feeling and he suggested that moving back in with my parents while he was gone could also be an option so I wouldn't feel so alone. We haven't worked out all the little details yet but I feel so excited that I will be able to stay home with my girls. I feel that maybe time will go faster for us and maybe I won't be as stressed out and the girls and I can enjoy our girl time together. The girls have missed daddy so much over the last month I can't imagine how much they are going to change in the next year. We are so glad he is come for a few more month!
