Our weekend with Daddy

Our trip to Seattle Washington went south fast! On Thursday we went to the airport with hopes to fly  to spend the weekend with Marcos. We have traveled many times standby and know that if we can't get a direct flight we can usually get their by going through another city.  On Thursday full flights turned in to canceled flights. Little did I know that on Wednesday flights were canceled due to the weather and on top of that the outdoor expo had many from Washington heading home the same day! As we went from gate to gate to wait not being able to get on and finding out that SLC and LAX are about the only 2 cities that take flights to Washington. We hoping to stick it out till the 6 pm flight that looked better but the 4 pm flight was canceled and My hope were shattered. As I called Marcos in tears telling him the soonest we would be getting a flight would be Tuesday which would be too late for him and his weekend pass. He told me he would call me back and when he called they gave him a pass to come home to SLC. On Friday he was able to hop on a flight and got home around 1:00pm. We were so excited to see him again. He even helped me do the laundry before we had to take him back to the airport on Monday. We took the girls to the park and I wanted to try that new Incredible Pizza in Draper. We had a coupon and the girls had so much fun. Then on Saturday my parents took us to lunch at Ruby River and after that we took the girls to the dollar theater and saw Shrek. We had such a great weekend and to top off the weekend we were able to get our money back from our Hotel and form the car rental!!
