Our Trip to Chile

It has almost been 10 years from the time we both finish our mission in Chile. Marcos still has the flying benefits from when he worked at sky west so we thought it would be a good idea to visit Chile. Then when Marcos' Parents wanted to come and visit we asked if they would want to watch the girls while we took a little trip. To enter into Chile for the first time we have to pay $130. per person. And now that Marcos is a U.S. citizen he had to pay that as well. So that was the main reason we wanted to leave the girls at home. As we flew to Atlanta and go there in the morning we had 6 hours to wast. Marcos has always wanted to go to the world of Coke. So with out the kids we were off on our adventure. And flying standby and going on vacation with my husband is always an adventure!! Oh did I mention that the only thing we had planned was the car rental. We Never made hotel reservation. I wanted to stay in the Holiday Inn there but when we got there the were charging $100 or more a night so the 2 night we did stay in Hotels were about $24 dollars a night. But as we learned later the "Motels" were we stayed at the people know them as how can I put this... One night stand flings. To be honest some the people houses we stayed in were scarier then the Motel and they had heat! I was Happy!!

In the streets of Atlanta
In the train terminal from the airport to the world of coke

This Family we helped go to the temple
My husband's old area and the branch president
This was a bridge that only one car at a time could pass

The mall
Marcos had 4 hot dogs this day and this was the biggest
Cristina was a lady I was trying to find before we left and found her one day on the street! It was a true miracle because she lived 2 hours from this city!
My husband and many other missionary lived with poor lady. Her house is on this huge hill and to get there she has to climb over 50 stairs.
This is the huge hill
This family are members look care of Marcos when he hurt his foot in the mission
This was a family that I taught and was sad to see them inactive

Real Game

On Friday the 24th of July we got tickets to go to the Real Game. We took my in-laws knowing that they had fireworks after the game. With parking so far away as we got to our seats the team from Dallas had already 2 goals. During the first half I was thinking don't tell me that now there going to play like this the whole game. During the second half they came back and got 4 goals so it ended 4 -2. It was one of the best games I have seen them play. Then to top it off they had fireworks. All in all it was a great night!

Happt 5th Birthday Yasmin

I realy can't believe that I have 5 year old!!! Macos had Drill with the Army this weekend so when he came home of course he had to buy his little girl flowers! With Marcos' parents being here we went on friday night to go birthday shopping for Yasmin. It was fun we turned in to a little date and stopped and got ice cream then we went to Wal-mart to by the bike that Yasmin has been asking for for months. Everytime we go to Wal-mart she says can we go and see if they still have that bike? After Marcos got home and Yasmin got up from her nap we took her outside! For us it almost feels like Chrismas in July with the girls birthday in July and my nephews are both in July! I asked Marcos las
t night are you sick of birthday cake yet! Don't worry there is still one more cake to go! Next week we are getting together to do a family Birthday party!

Happy Birthday Kenadie

I can't believe that Kenadie turned 2! How fast time flyes. Yesterday when Kenadie woke up we all went in to sing Happy Birthday and she got so mad! I am not sure she was ready and awake for everyone singing I made pancakes because it's her favorite thing! Marcos had to work so we took my in-laws out they wanted to buy a camera. We met up with my parents at wal-mart were Grandma took Kenadie in the store and bought her a few fun little toys for her birthday. Then when daddy came home from work he brought Kenadie a flower and mommy a dozen roses saying thank you for giving him 2 beautiful little angels! That night we went and got a pizza...Kenadie loves pizza! Then when we lit the candles on the cake Marcos showed her how to blow out the candles on the cake. When we sang she blew them out and kept saying again and again! I think we sang happy birthday to her like 5 times just to she could blow out the candles. As we were getting ready for bed last night I told Marcos how blessed we are to be celebrating her life and that her Birthday is full of happy moments like these! We came so close to loosing her that she is our little miracle child! WE love you and Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

Kenadie saying "no" when we started singing to her!

The Remodel

SO we haven't had a very exciting week but my husband has been very busy around the house! Last week he took out the vinyl floor in the girls bathroom and put travertine. I hate the color of the vinyl floors. It doesn't look too bad in pics but I am so happy to see is disappearing around the house. We also painted the girls bathroom. When I finish decorating it will post new pics!

This is the shower in our bathroom before demo day

This is after he stripped the shower down. When we finish it I will show you how it turned out

This is the before of the girls bathroom

This is the new tile! It doesn't look too much different in pictures but it looks different and feels so much better!
